Earhart was an Inspiration to women.
As a great inspiration to women, Amelia, was also known for being an adventurous child. She played basketball and took an auto course. She was always doing something that would define the gender role, something that inspired many women around the world (Editors 1). She always had an independent nature, completing hardships and obstacles on her own. After the war, Earhart went back to school at Columbia University in New York, majoring as a pre-med student. During January 1921, Earhart worked as a filing clerk to help pay for her flying lessons. In the mid-1920s she worked at a settlement house for immigrants in Boston, Massachusetts. The 1920s was not easy for Amelia Earhart. There were hardships and sacrifices, such as her parents' divorce, family finance troubles, and her sinus operation. Above all, Earhart was determined to go through it.
